On Saturday, 16 August 2025, the Wankdorf athletics stadium in Bern once again transforms into a global stage for track and field excellence, as the CITIUS Meeting Bern returns with another action-packed edition. Established as one of Switzerland’s premier athletics gatherings, the CITIUS Meeting has steadily grown into a World Athletics Continental Tour – Silver event, attracting a strong field of international stars and rising talents.
The night was off to a good start with a solid men’s Javelin, line up, Max Dhening being the favourite, due to having a Personal record on 90m that he threw back in February 2024 At the German Winter Throwing Championships in Halle but due to injury has had some set backs. Dhening won the competition with a throw of 77.47
Followed behind Simon Wieland from Switzerland took silver with a throw of 76.36 , 3rd and 4th place went to Daniel Brainbridge and Michael Alison both from the United Kingsom Brainbridge came 3rd with a throw of 73.43 and Alison in 4th with a throw of 72.57, only a matter of weeks before both men went on to throw massive personal bests at the UK championships, Alison (78.48) & Bainbridge (76.86) CLICK HERE FOR RESULTS
